47, [1] pages. A scarce first printing of this controversial item. An attack upon the proliferation of pamphlets and books which are of no consequence. He writes "to admonish our Pamphleteers of the Perniciousness and Defectiveness of their Measures...of serving their own a Party's end; in short, he criticizes most authors and the press of writing without principles or having a coherent series of convictions. One of his earliest writings was only attributed to him after his death. A very nice copy bound in a somewhat modern plain brown cloth.
