London: Collins, 1955. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good+/Near Fine. 8vo. [8], 9-320 pp. Blue cloth with gold lettering on the spine. Price of 18s. net on front flap of jacket. Translated by Jonathan Griffin. Illustrated by several black and white photographs from de Gaulle's life. A nice copy of the first volume in the French general and politician's memoirs of World War II. A Very Good+ book with a tiny tear to the half-title page and a spot of yellowing to the top textblock in a Near Fine dust jacket with a few hints of edge wear.
