Edwards, who is a respected biographer has slowly uncovered this portrait of Wallis during her years of royal study, interviews and friendships with the many of the book's major characters. Before her third marriage, she was Wallis Wakefield Spencer Simpson. After the marriage, she became known to the world as the Dutchess of Windsor.
