About This Item
Sweden 2000. Since the middle of the 90s, Wallin has examined the human body in his dynamic 3D animated films that have attracted attention in Sweden and abroad. The human bodys possibilities and limitations affect us in the depths of our consciousness; in our dreams we flee danger on legs that suddenly dont hold any more, or we rise from ground without being hindered by the laws of gravity. Wallins singleminded visual world has its point of departure in the nature of the handicap, where our most private vulnerability is entwined with the political and public aspects of the body, the body as the site of a power struggle. Here, four films, including Exit (1997), Limbo (1999), Physical Paradise (1998) and Skyline (2000), comprise an entire suite entitled Physical Sightseeing., English/ Swedish, Year2000, Illust.
