London: Methuen and Co. Ltd.. VG. 1934. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Stated first edition. 5 1/4" x 7 1/2" hardcover bound in red cloth wit h gold spine lettering. 280 pages plus the publisher's eight page cata log inserted at the rear. A Very Good copy in Poor dust jacket. The bo ok has tiny bumps to the corners. Mild soiling to cloth covers. Dust s potting to the outer edges of the page block, else contents are fine. The dust jacket has a triangular, 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" chip at the front pa nel's lower right corner. The front panel has chips along its upper ed ge and tears at its lower left corner. Rubbing to the jacket's spine e dges and folds. Chipping along the head and heel of the spine. The rea r panel has a 1 1/2" diagonal chip at its upper right corner. Some tea rs at its upper edge. Dust soiling to the rear panel. Jacket is NOT pr ice clipped. .
