Very Good-/Good. this is the hardcover 1977 SECOND PRINTING of the 1970 edition of the play in the Grove Collected Works of Samuel Beckett edition. the isbn printed on the jacket is 394-47529-1, although this isbn has been used for various paperback editions since. the book is a lightly used hardcover in a dust jacket. jacket is slightly worn about the edges, but with no tears and not price clipped. pages and binding are clean, straight and tight. there are no marks to the text or other serious flaws. a lovely copy of this uncommon edition.

Synopsis

Beckett's existentialist play portrays two men who are trapped in endless waiting for the arrival of someone named Godot. They spend their time bantering and conjecturing and trying to anticipate the time and method of arrival. "Nothing happens, nobody comes, nobody goes, it's awful?"
