About This Item
First edition, first impression (Geoffrey Bles Ltd, 1952). Illustrations by Pauline Baynes.
Publisher's original light blue cloth with silver lettering to spine. Some fading to spine with light spotting to rear endpaper and paste-down and a few very faint and isolated spots to preliminaries, contents nice and clean otherwise and free from names and inscriptions. Very good.
The original and unclipped dust jacket has been preserved in non-removable cellophane; some tape reinforcements to verso, which have yellowed somewhat and caused a little associated discolouration to the jacket, but good otherwise, complete and without any restoration.
