Arcueil, France: Editions Anthèse, 1992. Hardcover. 79p., cloth-covered boards, 10.5 x13.5 inches, illus., very good condition. Text in French with an English summary of the introduction laid in. Charles Magius (Carlo Maggi) was a 16th century Venetian diplomat who was captured and sold into slavery during an Ottoman attack. He commissioned an 18 page book, the Codex Maggi, illustrating his life and his time in captivity.
