About This Item

Boston: Little, Brown, 1949., 1949. First edition. First edition. 8vo. Brown cloth, xx, 386 pp., introduction, illustrated, notes, my creditors, index. Based on his own life experiences in Texas and twenty-five years of research, Dobie melds natural history with tales and lore in articulating the complex and often contentious relationship between coyotes and humans. Former owner's underlining and small notations in ink throughout the text, some inked comments on front and rear endpapers have faded, else very good in price-clipped dust jacket with light wear to the spine ends, two tiny closed tears to top edge of front panel, and one tiny closed tear to top edge of rear panel.
