The December issue has seasonal Christmas card covers. 9 issues are in mint condition; 2 issues have a very light and small corner fold; none of the issues have address labels or stamps. Astara was formed in 1951 by Robert Chaney and Earlyne Chaney both former Spiritualists. Church of All Religions, School of the Ancient Mysteries, Fraternity of all Philosophers, Institute of Psychic Research. According to their website, Astara is now in its sixth decade and accredited as a nonprofit religious institution with membership worldwide in over 85 countries.
