Coleridge's text is printed with an HP Indigo 5500 by Acme Bookbinding in Lucinda Handwriting font and Mistral for the cover. The artist's statement tells us that Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poem, KUBLA KAHN OR A VISION IN A DREAM, A FRAGMENT, was composed in 1797 after an opium influenced dream. Ms. Krause has informed and captured the "vision" of the poem with a series of images of submerged architectural passageways, lit from within. They reflect branches, illuminate floating leaves and flowers and reference Coleridge's cataclysmic vision. The book is often dark - but shot with streaks of light, mysterious and romantic enough for even Kubla Khan.
