Only handwriting found in book is on the front end page where in the upper right corner is a small price written in red pen.

The author is a young clerk from suburbia who, while frequenting the Soho jazz clubs begins by smoking marijuana and eventually becomes a pusher, winding up in jail multiple times. No less harrowing because it's a half-century old. Generally fine, tasteful bookplate front pastedown. In dust jacket with wear about the edges and a closed tear foot of spine.
