About This Item

New York: Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 1993. First Printing of First American Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Fine. 327 pages ; 23 cm. Hardcover. Publisher's original deep wine-colored cloth and paper over boards, gilt lettering to spine and upper cover. Book Condition: fine and most certainly unread. Dust Jacket Condition: freakishly bright and fresh and unmarred by virtue of the fact that this copy has had an extra jacket since it left the presses. As nice a copy as any out there. Linda Cloverdale's translation of the 1991 Prix Interallie-winner "Un long dimanche de fiançailles" ; basis for the 2004 Jean-Pierre Jeunet film.
