About This Item
München and Leipzig: Georg Müller, 1911. Half Leather. Good Plus. 8vo. In the series 'Klassiker des Altertums, first series, selected and published by Heinrich Conrad'. Text in German. A three volume set, bound in half tan leather with red boards. Gilt embossed lettering to the red leather title block on the spine of volume three , volumes I + II having lost their title blocks from the spine. Seven gilt embossed bands to the spines. One cloth divider to each volume, still attached at the head of the spine. Rubbing to the head and tail of the spines with a little loss to the head of the spine of volume III and to the tail of the spine of volumes I and II. Light fading to the head of the rear board of volume I and a little loss of the red paper covering the front board of volume 2 near the spine Splitting to both sides of the spine of volume III at the head of the spine. Light rubbing to the edges of the spine strip and to the board edges and also to the boards. Neat ink name inscription to the head of the front end paper. A little turning in of the top corners of the first few pages of volume I where the associated corner has been slightly bumped. The pages of all volumes are surprisingly clean and tight. Despite the noted faults on the casings - this is a clean and tight, good copy of this set.
