Damaged at spine between pages 524-525, a little less so between inside front cover and first front end paper, the bottom of title page attachment to spine loose. Bottom tips very slightly bumped. Fair.

Simon and Schuster hard cover in very good condition, in good dust jacket with chip at spine top, other multiple small chips and tears, sun-browning to spine, preserved in clear, archival polyester cover. Though brittle with age, the jacket unfolds to double its size, revealing the author's own map of the world in full color, with a small hole in the middle on crease at top of spine. A bookmark decorated with the author's art is included. A delightfully entertaining description of world geography. 525 pages, profuse illustrations by the author, index. Sticker scar on front end paper.
