Blue cloth boards with black decorative seal on cover with single line border, black lettering on spine. Some wear and soiling to this book: a little fraying at top of spine, small spot of wear along front spine edge (grain of rice in size), some browning to spine, some foxing to rear board. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. All pages and edges are clean and bright with clean blank endpapers - no names, writing or marks. Wonderful historical photographs and illustrations throughout - seven plates in color, eighty-three black and white illustrations. 366 pages with index. Clean illustrated dust jacket has edge chipping, price clipped at upper corner of front inside flap. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover..
