New York: Harper and Brothers Publishers, 1939. First Edition.. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Copyright date 1939, first edition, first printing. This first edition volume comes bound in orange cloth, with title and author in blue on spine and publisher emblem in blue on lower right hand corner of front cover board. "E. B." White (July 11, 1899 Đ October 1, 1985) was an American writer. He was a contributor to The New Yorker magazine and a co-author of the English language style guide The Elements of Style, which is commonly known as "Strunk & White". He also wrote books for children, including Stuart Little in 1945, Charlotte's Web in 1952, and The Trumpet of the Swan in 1970. Charlotte's Web was voted the top children's novel in a 2012 survey of School Library Journal readers. This book shows with mild to moderate signs of age and wear with bumps to the head and toe of the spine and wear along the toe of the spine, with some soiling to the front and back board, a short tear up near the head of the spine on the backboard along the groove. Tinted top page edges, for edge and bottom page edges are not cut, No Dust Jacket. Size: 5 3/4" X 8"
