York, U.C.: Printed and published by R. Stanton, [1831]., 1831. Pp. 103, ii, errata-slip pasted on free endpaper, interleaved, original paper covered boards, newer stiff parchment backstrip with handwritten title to spine. A few interesting, contemporary annotations in ink and pencil on blank pages (the pencil notes appear to be transcriptions of the ink notes). Some foxing especially to early pages, front hinge cracked and separating, otherwise quite good. Chewett, 1793-1862, provides a mass of official and social information in small compass. Fleming 585 - "William Lyon Mackenzie commented favourably: 'It forms a thick 12 mo pamphlet and contains a great variety of useful information' (Colonial Advocate, 26 May 1831)"; TPL 1690.
