Thomas Mower Martin (1838-1934) was an English-born Canadian painter known for his inspiring depictions of the wild and dramatic landscapes of the North. Called the "Father of Canadian Art", Martin traveled widely throughout Canada by selling rights to his pieces to the Canadian Pacific Railroad. His paintings are now in collections across Canada, New York and England.<br/> <br/>
