About This Item

Aldershot: Gale & Polden, Ltd., [1933]. First edition of Tapp's history of Westward Ho! College with Kipling's The Song of the Exiles. Quarto, original boards with gilt titles to the front panel, marbled endpapers. In near fine condition. The author states in his introduction: "This short account of the United Services College has been written primarily for "Old Boys" to help perpetuate the memory of a great school, and also with hope of providing something of interest to others. Doubtless older O.U.S.Cs. will note with pleasure the fortunes of the College after I left Westward Ho! while the younger ones will look back with interest on the happenings of the early days". Contains Kipling's The Song of the Exiles.
