Thompson states in her preface to the present volume: "The flowers in this posie have been culled from many a garden, field, and hedgegrow, and have been tied together with little attempt at grouping or arrangement. The aim has not been to appeal to the intellect, but rather to the emotions - to bring refreshment, encouragement, inspiration, and hope to those who are toiling up the steep path of life.

Externally, in lovely condition with just some handling marks to boards. Internally firmly bound.
