About This Item
Boston: Lothrop Publishing Company, 1901. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Red cloth with gilt and blue lettering and gilt, blue, ivory and black pictorial front board stamping. 322pp. Tissue-guarded frontispiece, 5 full-page plates. Very good. Just the faintest of spine sunning, else tight and quite handsome and internally fine. A superb first edition of what the front board labels "A Boxer Story" of juvenile action by this ultra-prolific writer of young adult history, biography and fiction. Uncommon, especially in such nice condition.
