Del Monte, 1921. unbound. near fine. T.L.S. during his very brief self-exile in the United States. 8vo. 1 page, Del Monte, California, December 17th 1921, to Dr. Arthur Andrews, Tufts University, in full: "I have received your further good letter, for which please accept my cordial thanks. I greatly appreciate the President's kind message. Indeed I hope we shall meet". Only a few months before he signed this letter in exile Venizelos, with the overwhelming support of Woodrow Wilson, took part in the signing of the Paris Peace Conference of 1919, Treaty of Neuilly with Bulgaria (1919), and the Treaty of Sevres with the Ottoman Empire (1920). He had also barely survived the first of many assassination attempts on his life. Boldly signed and in near fine condition.<br/> <br/> Charismatic Greek statesman, Prime Minister and revolutionary largely responsible for reintroducing Democracy to Greece by increasing her borders through Treaties, enacting constitutional reforms and reorganizing the military. He was elected Prime Minister of Greece from 1910 to 1920 and from 1928 to 1933. He had such profound influence on the internal and external affairs of Greece that he is credited as the "Creator of Modern Greece state", and is widely known as the "Ethnarch".<br/> <br/>
