Chicago, IL: Alex T. Loyd & Co., 1887. Book. Very Good. Cloth. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Green embossed cloth with green tiles on a tan title panel to the spine. "Tales of Adventure and Peril" embossed on both covers. Pirate face embossed on the spine. This copy is VG. Exterior has three dime sized rubbing spots, Worn tips, moderately worn/crimped spine ends, and rubbing to spine edges on rear. Interior has decorative beige EPs, front hinge starting but holding nicely, neat gift inscription dated 1887 on first inside page,and a "stamp" of a British officer on the inside back board. Text block is unmarked, minimum foxing, medium age toning throughout. Six pages of advertising at the rear. This 1887 edition by this publisher is unusual..
