London: A & C Black, 1931. Gilt title on blue cloth boards with gilt crest of Collyer's School Horsham (Founded in 1532) with the school motto. Boards are clean and unmarked with no wear or damage. Internally there is the school's prize bookplate and some foxing to fore edge else clean and unmarked. A Very Good + copy. Thick dustjacket is chipped at top and faded at spine and is not price clipped. This is the second edition revised and enlarged by A.W. Titherley. A concise but masterly history of science through the ages with chronological table, history of the earth, comprehensive index and includes over 100 illustrations. x + 508 pp. **** A HEAVY VOLUME OF 0.9 KILO UNPACKED WEIGHT WHICH MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL SHIPPING COST **** 4.
