About This Item
Las Cruces, NM: Yucca Tree Press, 1996 Yucca Tree Press, Las Cruces, NM. 1996. Hardcover. Stated First Printing. Signed by the author on the title page. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: As New. DJ: As New. Rust colored cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine. 561 pp 8vo. Next to the killing of Billy, the Kid, the killing of COL Albert Fall stands out in NM history. Albert J. Fountain, and Albert B. Fall were among the most important leaders in Territorial Southern NM history. They were political opponents instrumental in shaping the growth, economics, law, government, and politics of early NM. Fall was linked to the killing of Fountain and his son, Henry, over cattle rustling but never convicted. Still he met his demise in the Teapot Dome fiasco of the Harding administration when he was the Secretary of the Interior. A clean pristine copy.
