Signed by the author 'with the authors compliments' to front endpaper. Contains black and white photographic plates. Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing, mild to end-papers and text-block edges. 'With Compliments' plate to front paste-down. Fold out map at rear in good condition. Slightly crinkling to pages. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Moderate patchy bleaching to paper covering. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.
