F V White,, 1891. 8vo., First Edition, with portrait frontispiece, small neat contemporary signature on front free endpaper verso, half-title very lightly spotted; original red pictorial cloth, upper board blocked with racehorse in gilt, gilt back, chocolate endpapers, uncut, backstrip faded (but all lettering entirely legible in blind) and chafed without material loss at extreme head and tail, else a very good, clean copy. With separate 2pp and 18pp catalogues of the author's works bound in at end. Valuable series of personal recollections vividly portrayed by the well-known author of the turf. Subjects include Lord Anglesey, Sir William Codrington, Lord Ribblesdale, Henry Robinson, Fitz Oldaker and - notably - 'Types of Foreigners'. EXTREMELY SCARCE, ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION.
