Edition limited to 750 numbered copies, 4to, pp. 395, [2]; 24 color lithograph plates after watercolors, title-page vignette printed in brick red depicting Miller with a penis for a nose, illustrations printed in brick red throughout text ; the text signatures and plates unbound and housed in stiff pictorial paper portfolio and ocher paper-covered chemise, as issued; the original slipcase present in three pieces, all else very good. Also containing "Le Lyrisme de Henry Miller," an essay by Henri Fluchere that does not appear in any American or British edition, according to Shifreen and Jackson. S & J A9y.
