About This Item
1989. Print. New. Milo Manara. Lithograph print by Milo Manara on Cartridge Paper. SIGNED PRINT. Size: 15" x 11" (388mm x 288mm). Manara, the master of provocative comic art has turned his hand to the historical subject of the French Revolution of 1789 for this image, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Revolution. A triumphant scene artfully painted by Manara showing a beautifully romanticised vision of a tricolour rainbow appearing through the smoke filled sky of Paris. Manara's work is prized by comic art collectors, and on the International comics scene, he is regarded as one of the greatest comic artists alive today. This print is signed in pencil at the bottom right hand corner.
