Philadelphia: J.B. Lippincott Unpaginated approx. 200pp. No date but circa 1890s. Orange pictorial boards, chromolithographic frontispiece, profusely illustrated throughout by Will Gibbons. Light soil to covers, a few small inkspots to lower spine, splitting to endpaper gutters but binding is firm, contents age-toned but unmarked, pencil notation on front free endpaper reads "December 1898." Illustrations and lettering on cover are still quite bright. Includes "Cinderella", "The Comic Adventures of Dame Trot and Her Cat", "The Story of Dick Whittington and His Cat", "Jack the Giant Killer", "Little Red Riding Hood", "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves", "Bluebeard", "Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp" and "The Fairy Tale Alphabet". The first five stories are illustrated by Gibbons, and the last four by A. Chasmore.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Will Gibbons and A."(Archibald) Chasemore.. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
