Bound in publisher's black cloth with titles in blind on the upper board and lettered in gilt on the spine. Near Fine with light rubbing to the head of the spine. In a Very Good dust jacket, which is lightly edge-worn and lightly rubbed, with a short tear at the foot of the both flap folds. A gripping novel of three gold prospectors who venture into the Sierra Madre mountains, which served as the basis for the 1948 film starring Humphrey Bogart.
Synopsis
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre is a 1927 novel by the mysterious German-English bilingual author B. Traven, in which two penurious Americans of the 1920s join with an old-timer, in Mexico, to prospect for gold. The book was adapted successfully as a 1948 film of the same name by John Huston.
