Some rubbing to cloth at edges of spine and boards. Library rubber stamps throughout to margins of leaves and plates and versos of maps. Some short tears along folds to large folding map in pocket at rear. Some splitting to gutter at front hinge. Gutter broken at rear hinge. Binding a little shaken. All plates and maps present. ; First printing. xxiii, [1], 248 pages + 64 b&w photographic plates + 8 maps (including 1 large folding colour map in pocket at rear).
