First English edition of this book, translated from the French. 318 pages plus 5 page index 10 pages introduction including illustration by G Van dr Gucht, all in clean condition just some browning to endpapers and outer edges of pages, ink name on front endpaper looks like Grigson dated 1736. NO dustwrapper, outer full leather contemporary boards are little marked, little wear to corners and edges, small loss to top of spine. Binding is sound and tight but a couple of small splits to leather on outer hinges. A pleasing example of this book SEE IMAGES. DETAILED IMAGES AVAILABLE ON REQUEST. First English Edition.
