Hardbound in pale cloth boards titled black & orange, an excellent clean copy with one flaw, the orange spine title has faded to near-illegibility. Schloss covers an obscure whim of the art market (which sold well despite being expensive), generated by a few artists then metastasizing, a demand for semi-realistic depictions of Italian marinas with antique ruins, Roman monuments, distant landscapes, and anachronisticly-sited buildings that interested 1) the artist and/or 2) the customer.
