Pantheon Books, 1950. Hardcover. Very Good. Agathe Trapp. This is quite a find as this book is not only signed by Maria Von Trapp, it is also signed by 7 of her children to include Martina, who died in 1951 and this book was published in 1950. Book is also signed by Father Franz Wasner, who was a Catholic Priest, and the Director and Conductor of The Trapp Family Singers, and later a missionary. Vintage Original Hardback Book is in Very Good condition with a tight binding and clean crisp internal pages. There is an original music piece taped inside the back cover and on the last end page of the "Virginia Lullaby". It has come loose on the last end page and attached only at the bottom inside the back cover. Outside hardback covers show some wear primarily to the outside corners, edges, and spine. But the binding is tight and secure. Dust Jacket is price clipped on the front inside flap and shows some darkening and fading. Minor soiling with some edge chipping to include the outside spine. Some small missing pieces at the top and bottom of the outside spine. Dust Jacket is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. Seven of the Nine signers are deceased. Signed by Maria Trapp, the Mother, and seven children to include five that were portrayed in the "Sound of Music" movie- Agatha "Liesl", Maria "Louisa", Werner "Kurt", Hedwig "Brigitta", and Martina "Gretl". Also signed by two of the three children later born to Maria and the Captain- Eleonore- age 88 and Johannes- age 80. And Father Franz Wasner, who died in 1992. Book also includes what appears to be an original Christmas Card from "The Trapp Family" with illustrations and writing by Rosmarie Trapp. Christmas Card is unused. Great Collectible 70 year old book that would make a wonderful gift! Great piece of history!
