It is "a chapter from an unwritten romance,'' by Alcott, originally published in 1873 as a satire about her family's involvement in the Transcendentalist community, Fruitlands. Printed here in an unpaginated, softcover, stapled pamphlet with beige wrappers & pen-and-ink illustration on cover. No date specified, but owner's name & date on title page in pen (1973), so cannot be the later 1974 edition, but the FIRST EDITION (1970) by this publisher (First Thus), the Thoreau Lyceum of Concord, MA.
