Book itself has slight crimpings to top and tail rims, boards mildly scratched, top edge bears a few dots of foxing, dj has top-edge wear with an inch-long repaired tear (verso tape) and slight discoloration of spine panel (doesn't affect titling), a generally sound copy with clean, unmarked text. A brisk trade emerged with an exchange of firearms for slaves."By the end of the seventeenth century guns had turned the Gold Coast, formerly a gold mine, into a slave mart.
