Paris: Imprimerie Nationale, 1897. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. Folio - over 12 - 15" tall. Massively heavy, oversized volume, unlovely of exterior, but quite remarkably clean, unmarked and bright of interior. Authored by A. Berty and with the assistance of L.M. Tisserand and Camille Platon, published in Paris by Imprimerie Nationale in 1897. Bound in publisher's original green paper over boards, but sunned and toned especially at spine. Very light damp-staining along front board fore-edge. Internally, unopened top edges. Six double-page black-and-white engravings, a single color plate, 21 full-page black- and-white plates in text. All with their original tissue guards. The author, Adolphe Berty (1818-1867) was assisted by Lazare Maurice Tisserand and M. Camille Platon. 590 pp. including Table des Metiers, and stuffed with lovely engravings.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
