Saroyan won the Pulitzer Prize for this play however he declined to accept it with the belief that commerce should not patronize art. 8vo Light grey blue cloth stamped in blue. Stated first edition on back of title page. Stage photo frontispiece. Top page edges stained yellow. Sharp and tight. Light 1/4" water stain at very base of first three leaves except for flyleaf. A little foxing of pages ii, iii, 1 and 2. A few spots on top page edges. Spine has a tinge of brown. Lacks dust jacket. Very good condition. .
