About This Item

London, Cassell & Co., 1960, hardcover, 185 pp, First Edition, First Printing, Signed and inscribed by the Author on a small label pasted to front endpaper, Fine in Very Good+ dustjacket. Straight, tight and clean with no wear or markings, text block lightly age-toned. The New Zealand-born author and rugby writer who was responsible for a number of well-known urban legends, including the widespread belief that the flush toilet was invented by Thomas Crapper and that the brassiere was invented by Otto Titzling presents a work of detective fiction stories featuring Detective-Superintendent Keeton and centered on the murder of a young man and his connection to three, very different, society women.
