VG/Very Good. w/ CD limited to 880, #20.used hardcover in a dust jacket. jacket is slightly worn about the edges, but with no tears and not price clipped. pages and binding are clean, straight and tight. there are no marks to the text or other serious flaws.

Survey of the work of the infamous Sydney occultist and artist Norton, popularly known by the sobriquet of 'The Witch of King's Cross'.

Quarto, red cloth with gilt lettering to front board and spine (as the first edition, rather than the blue cloth of the standard second edition), illustrated endpapers, printed on high quality white paper (rather than the cheaper cream paper of the first edition or the yellowish paper of the standard second edition), pp 78, [1] bibliography, illustrated in b/w, with 4 colour plates (not to be found in the 2013 Teitan Press edition), in publisher's slipcase (lightly marked). Binding is clean, straight, fresh & attractive. Internals are flawless. Unclipped wrapper has some age toning along edges, else Fine. A very tidy copy indeed.

Unclipped* wrapper has two short closed tears, gently faded spine and just a bit of wear at spine head. *a Nash inventory re-order form is still attached to rear jacket flap-something which is clearly unintended for the purchaser. So, this copy is unclipped x two!! An extremely fresh, attractive book and what great campy art on the wrapper!

Aquarian Press, 1970, in soft wraps. Terrific lurid. A veritable time capsule which can serve as a bona fide research tool for those with an interest of the heady days of late 1960s London. No website to hide behind; here were REAL names of both adepts & quacks and where to find them! An interesting artifact- though don't expect to trace many of these street addresses now. Uncommon vintage paperback. Exceptional condition save for spotting on all edges. Very tight binding, extremely clean. Almost "As New". Inv. # 62542 bds 2023

Binding is square, tight and clean save for a stray mark on reverse. Red top stain. Internals clean except for faint marginal spotting/staining on pp.136-37. Old Weiser booklabel on front pastedown. Unclipped wrapper has minor wrinkling/ small creases (it is a very thin gold foil paper jacket) plus some edgewear; else Fine. Fifty-seven illustrations on b/w plates interspersed throughout text; again, as mentioned elsewhere on this space; images perhaps those not commonly seen re-printed ad nauseum.

book is "Fine." red top stain. (just a hint of foxing to fore edge but not enough to knock it down to Near Fine.) Unclipped wrapper has moderate soiling to front and heavier darkening to spine. one miniscule tear to the upper edge of the face; there are no other tears, chips or creases. Several b/w plates interspersed throughout(eight pages of prints).

binding is very clean- just a touch of edgewear/shelfwear. They used a two tone quarter green cloth over gray cloth and the green portion still is glossy. Internals very clean ( not even any pricing marks in pencil) though there is a paper clip indentation at the lower edge affecting the title, onwards for 20 pages. Unclipped wrapper has only some rubbing but I detect no tears, creases or chips. The paper is wonderful; it strikes me as feeling and looking like "linen" (not your business/office grade) but I am by no means an expert on paper. This US Stackpole Edition omits 8 plates which are in the UK Allen & Unwin volume. Well-preserved, excellent copy.

8.25 x 11.25 (Oversize format) Fine/Fine; book is fresh and the pages are white, white! Straight, tight, square- not a hint of foxing, not even on the top edge. Binding is beautiful. Clipped(err..!) still glossy wrapper is the same- perhaps just a hint of rubbing/dust-dulling but so minor- hey, let's not ruin the fun, eh? This is The One.

First Edition Thus; this volume re-issues two of Steiner's works: The Way of Initiation and Initiation and Its Results. Some shelfwear and soiling to edges, but the binding is generally clean & straight; internals are also in good order.
