New York: The John Day Company, 1934. First edition of this gritty pre-World War II novel dealing with Nazism in the United States and the encroaching of German Fascism on the lives of the German people, particularly the Jewish minority. Black cloth with spine printed in gilt and light green, 242 pages, dustjacket. Cover edges faded at the far outer areas, foxing to outer edges of text block, good hinges, sound text block, age-toning to endpapers, name and September 1934 date written in ink on front free endpaper, pages otherwise clean and unmarked. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped (2.00) and is evenly age-toned with a slightly darker spine, small paint drip at center of spine, light shelf soil, light edgewear, three chips of less than 1/8 at spine head, no other chips or tears.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
