About This Item
Ysleta [Texas]: Edwin B. Hill. Approx. 5" x 7 1/2" Broadsheet, undated but issued as Broadside No. 1. Edwin B. Hill's interest in Henry David Thoreau brought him the friendship of Samuel Arthur Jones of the University of Michigan, a Thoreau scholar and enthusiast. He began to procure works about Thoreau as early as 1899. For the next four decades his printing emphasized Thoreauviana. This item is undated but would have been in the 1930's before his move to Tempe, Arizona where he worked for the Salt River Project and continued hand printing on the side.
