About This Item
An interesting series of connections in Bethany Pennsylvania in 1831. Thomas T. Kissam has written to Thomas Fuller, an Attorney in Bethany requesting him to proceed in collecting an unpaid debt of Joseph Miller. He writes that they have a mutual friend, Randell Wilmot [father of David Wilmot, of the 'Wilmot Proviso'] who recommended him. He further writes he has no desire to pressure Mrs. Miller for payment to collect the judgment for him. Of course, the information are very early regarding the history of Bethany (Wayne County), Pennsylvania. Besides the letter, there is an additional autographed letter signed to Thomas Fuller written on Oct 29, 1831 signed by W [Wilmot] Williams.
