Each of these parts contains controversial and uncommon opinions. In fact, some scholars claim that the contents of 'Leviathan' directly influenced the feuds that began the English Civil War! (Wright 175).
'Printing and the Mind of Man' even notes that 'Leviathan' is the result of unrest and troubled times in England.
It is of the most extreme rarity to find all eight parts of the 'Opera Omnia' together – the works were originally printed and sold separately as individual pieces.
