The author was awarded the 1937 Nobel Prize for Literature largely on the basis of this novel sequence. Condition: Very good in Good Dust Jacket. The book has edge wear, dust soiling and foxing to page edges, light toning to endpapers, second front endpaper starting to separate from binding, but holding. Dust jacket has wear and rubbing, toning and overall soiling, small chips and creasing to spine ends and corners. A one-inch shallow triangular chip to the top edge at the spine and front panel.
