This book is packed full of stories, amusing, extraordfinary, informative stories. The region of Spindletop, the bloody salt wars, King Ranch, the Alamo, the spectacular scenery of Big Bend national Park and the lovely richness of the Valley. and of those famous Texans, Big Foot Wallace, Sam Bass, Jane Long, etc. Bound in brown cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt, a couple of small spots to front cover, tape residue to front pastedown. A very good copy in unclipped pictorial dust jacket with old dark tape residue and owner's name along outer edge of front and rear flaps, happy face stamp to uppe corner of front free endpaper. A good copy.

Adams' Rampaging Herd #429 and Six Guns, #392. 440 pp. Guide in pocket in rear board. Burnt orange cloth boards with gilt print which is a little dulled. Corners and spine ends have light bumping and top of spine has a little wear in cloth. Page edges are a little tanned. Dust jacket is not price clipped and has bright colors in illustration from water color. Light chipping on corners and spine ends. Front top corner has a few tiny worn through places. Now in protective cover.
