About This Item
Boston: Ticknor and Fields, 1867. Hardcover. 12mo. Pebble-grained blind-ruled burgundy cloth with gilt lettering. 172pp. Very good. Lightly edgeworn and with spine faintly sunned; rear endpaper a tad smudged. A tight and nice first edition of this slim verse gathering -- first issue, with all proper points. Front flyleaf bears lightly pencilled first ownership signature of "May E. Staples / March 9th, 1867," noted New Orleans resident (1847-1932). BAL 21866.
