About This Item

New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1900. Includes very rare dust jacket. No date given; circa early 1900s. From jacket: "A new edition ... printed from new large type plates, on fine book paper, and handsomely bound in cloth, with picture inlay on front cover." Inlaid picture on cover and picture on dust jacket are different. The jacket is rare; we haven't been able to located another copy of this book with the dust jacket. We note some rubbing transfer to jacket (red from another volume has rubbed off) and jacket is chipping along bottom front and top back; there are also some small losses elsewhere on the jacket including flap seams; half inch tear on top and one inch tear on back. Back of jacket has some light soil and lists other volumes from publisher. 314 toned pages followed by publishers catalogue. We noted two pages with stains in the margins and a small stain on back endpaper; initials on fep; some light foxing to spine under dust jacket. Quotes are for illustrative purposes only and remain the property of their copyright holders. Thanks for shopping with us. 100% of your purchase benefits charity and supports literacy and life-long learning.. Cloth. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
